The Pench Tiger Reserve consists of Indira Priyadarshini Pench
National Park, Pench Mowgli Sanctuary and a buffer. The Tiger
Reserve is located in the southern slopes of the Satpura ranges
of central India. The Pench River, which divides the national
park into two parts, forms the lifeline of the park. To the
south of the tiger reserve, is the Pench Tiger Reserve in
Maharashtra, which is the first inter-state project tiger area
in the country.
Flora Fauna
The forests found in Pench Tiger Reserve are divided into three
parts: -
Southern tropical wet deciduous forest
Southern Tropical Dry Deciduous Teak Forest
Southern tropical dry deciduous mixed forest
Drought mixed forests cover about one third of the protected
area. The main species whose salai, pickle, moyan, tendu etc.
are found along the banks of river Kahua (Arjuna), Jamuna,
Gular and Saja. Mahua, Palash, Ber etc. trees are found
scattered in the open forests of the displaced areas of old
villages. Teak forests are found in about a quarter of the
area. About 82 types of grass species and bamboo are found in
this forest area.
Prominent carnivores include tiger, leopard, wild cat, wild
dog, hyena, jackal, fox, wolf, one of the vegetarian species,
gaur, nilgai, sambar, chital, chessinga, chingara, wild boar,
etc. are prominent. Birds of about 325 species can also be seen
in this tiger reserve in different seasons of the year. In the
sunny areas of the Totladoh Reservoir located within the park's
range, many migratory birds are seen during the winter. Among
migratory birds, Rudy Shelduck, Pintail, Whistling mound and
Wedgetail are prominent.

खुले जंगलों में बिखरे पाए जाते हैं। सागौन के जंगल लगभग एक चौथाई क्षेत्र में पाए जाते हैं। इस वन क्षेत्र में लगभग 82 प्रकार की
घास की प्रजातियाँ और बाँस पाए जाते हैं।
प्रमुख कार्निवोर्स में टाइगर, तेंदुआ, जंगली बिल्ली, जंगली कुत्ता, लकड़बग्घा, सियार, लोमड़ी, भेड़िया, शाकाहारी प्रजातियों में से एक है,
गौर, नीलगाय, सांभर, चीतल, चेसिंगा, चिंगारा, जंगली सुअर आदि प्रमुख हैं। इस टाइगर रिजर्व में वर्ष के विभिन्न मौसमों में लगभग
325 प्रजातियों के पक्षी भी देखे जा सकते हैं। पार्क की सीमा के अंदर स्थित टोटलाडोह जलाशय के धूप वाले क्षेत्रों में, ठंड के मौसम में

वनस्पति पशुवर्ग
पेंच टाइगर रिजर्व में पाए जाने वाले जंगलों को तीन भागों में बांटा गया है: -
दक्षिणी उष्णकटिबंधीय गीला पर्णपाती जंगल
दक्षिणी उष्णकटिबंधीय शुष्क पर्णपाती सागौन वन
दक्षिणी उष्णकटिबंधीय शुष्क पर्णपाती मिश्रित वन
सूखा मिश्रित वन, संरक्षित क्षेत्र के लगभग एक तिहाई क्षेत्र में फैला है। जिनकी मुख्य प्रजातियाँ सलाई, अचार, मोयन, तेंदू आदि कहुआ
(अर्जुन), जमुना, गूलर और साजा नदी धाराओं के किनारे पाए जाते हैं। महुआ, पलाश, बेर आदि के पेड़ पुराने गाँवों के विस्थापित क्षेत्रों के
खुले जंगलों में बिखरे पाए जाते हैं। सागौन के जंगल लगभग एक चौथाई क्षेत्र में पाए जाते हैं। इस वन क्षेत्र में लगभग 82 प्रकार की
घास की प्रजातियाँ और बाँस पाए जाते हैं।
प्रमुख कार्निवोर्स में टाइगर, तेंदुआ, जंगली बिल्ली, जंगली कुत्ता, लकड़बग्घा, सियार, लोमड़ी, भेड़िया, शाकाहारी प्रजातियों में से एक है,
गौर, नीलगाय, सांभर, चीतल, चेसिंगा, चिंगारा, जंगली सुअर आदि प्रमुख हैं। इस टाइगर रिजर्व में वर्ष के विभिन्न मौसमों में लगभग
325 प्रजातियों के पक्षी भी देखे जा सकते हैं। पार्क की सीमा के अंदर स्थित टोटलाडोह जलाशय के धूप वाले क्षेत्रों में, ठंड के मौसम में
बहुत से प्रवासी पक्षी दिखाई देते हैं। प्रवासी पक्षियों में, रूडी शेल्डक, पिंटेल, व्हिसलिंग टीले और वेजटेल आदि प्रमुख हैं

Pench Tiger Reserve comprises the Indira Priyadarshini Pench
National Park, the Pench Mowgli Sanctuary and a buffer. The
Tiger Reserve nestles in the Southern Slopes of the Satpura
ranges of Central India. The river Pench, which splits the
National Park into two, forms the lifeline of the Park. To the
south of the tiger reserve lies the Pench Tiger Reserve of
Maharashtra, the first inter-state project tiger area of the
country.
Flora & Fauna
The forests found in Pench Tiger Reserve are divided into three
parts as follows: -
Southern tropical wet deciduous forest
Southern tropical dry deciduous teak forest
Southern tropical dry deciduous mixed forest
Dry mixed forest spreads in about one-third area of ??protected
area. Whose main species are salai, pickle, moyan, tendu etc.
Kahua (Arjuna), Jamuna, Guular and Saja are found along the
banks of river streams. Trees of Mahua, Palash, Plum etc. are
found scattered around the open forests of displaced areas of
old villages. Teak forests are found in about one quarter area.
There are about 82 types of grass species and Bamboo found in
this forest area.
The major Carnivores are Tiger, leopard, wild cat, wild dog,
hyena, jackal, fox, wolf, weasel among the vegetarian species,
Gaur, Nilgai, Sambar, Chital, Chasinga, Chinkara, Wild Pig etc.
are prominent. In this Tiger Reserve, birds of about 325
species can also be seen in various seasons of the year. In the
sunny areas of the Totladoh reservoir situated inside the park
limits, there is a lot of migratory birds seen in the cold
season. Among the migratory birds, Ruddy shelduck, Pintail,
Whistling Teal and Vegtel etc are prominent
